ABOUT
Mr. Skow received his first violin at age 2 at gave his first solo performance in Tivoli Concert Hall at age 5. He has recently performed in Carnegie Hall in New York and for The President of France Emmanuel Macron.
TV2 Good Morning Denmark and Danish newspapers Berlingske and Børsen have named him a "leading violinist”, “born soloist” and ”multi talent” praising him for his virtuosity and romantic musicianship.
He has i.a. been selected for Berlingske Talent 100 and nominated to join The World Economic Forum's Young Global Leaders Forum. He has i.a. performed on the legendary Kreutzer Stradivarius valued at 15 mio USD, at the funeral of H.R.H. Prince Henrik and at the visit in Denmark of President Obama.
EARLY LIFE & PERFORMANCES:
Mr. Skow received his violin at age 2 by the Concert Master of the Royal Opera and gave his first solo concert in Tivoli Concert Hall at age 5. At age 14 he made his debut with Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra. He has since age 8 performed professionally as a soloist. - For dignitaries such as The President of France, The Chancellor of Austria, the Prime Ministers of Norway, H.M. Queen of Denmark, T.R.H. Prince Henrik, Prince Frederik, Prince Joachim, Princess Mary, Princess Marie and Princess Benedikte of Denmark, Princess Bernadotte of Sweden, the Prime Ministers of Denmark, The 11th Duke of Beaufort in England, EU's Executive Vice President and H.E. Dr. Sheikha Al Maskari in Abu Dhabi. From age 10 Mr. Skow has appeared on Scandinavia’s largest radio and TV segments such as DR1 News, TV2 News, TV 2 Good Morning Denmark, TV2 Good Morning Norway, TV Norway, DR1, 2 and 3 and Radio 24 Syv, Finish National Broadcasting YLE and ZDF Germany. At age 16 he made the cover of Denmark's largest newspaper after winning all 3 prizes in the Danish Violin Competition for violinists under 30 at age 16. He has since appeared in larger print and online media from Scandinavia to Asia.

Mr. Skow performs w. renowned professors and artists, e.g. La Scala opera singer Mari Eriksmoen, Piano Prof. Håvard Gimse, Violin Prof. Arve Tellefsen, Cello Prof. Andreas Brantelid, Atlanta Symphony Concert Master David Coucheron, and Deutsche Grammophon artist Francesco Tristano as well as with jazz, pop, rock and DJ artists such as Safri Duo, Chris Mihn Doky, Robert Wells, Tim Henri, Rasmus Seebach, X-Factor Judge Marion Raven and Grammy nominee Lukas Graham. Mr. Skow appears on several CDs, i.a. w. Prof. Andreas Brantelid, Royal Organist Jakob Lorentzen, Deutsche Oper Soprano Ditte Højgaard Andersen, Danish Radio Concert Master Christina Åstrand, jazz saxophonist John Tchicai and pop star Rasmus Seebach. Together w. The Piazzolla Orchestra he has released the music video of "Yo Soy Maria"from Piazzolla's Opera Marie de Buenos Aires. Mr. Skow will next release a duo album together with Pianist Julie Coucheron consisting entirely of Scandinavian composers Sibelius, Gade, Bull and Grieg.
AWARDS:
He has received awards such as The Nordea Bank Culture Award, the Victor Borge Prize, The Veuve Clicquot Music Award, The Børge Schrøder's Music Award, Elli and Peter Ove Christensen's Music Award. He has won the 1st Prize, Orchestra's Prize and Audience Prize in The Danish Violin Competition for violinists under 30 - at age 16. He has won 1st Prize and the Jury Prize in Jacob Gade's Violin Competition, 1st Prize and Gold Medal at Berlingske Tidende's Music Competition and 1st Prize in the Royal Academy of Music's Instrumentalist Competition. Mr. Skow has been nominated to join the World Economic Forum's "Young Global Leaders" and selected to Berlingske Business' "Talent 100".
EDUCATION:
He holds a Master of Laws and an Advanced Post Graduate Degree in Music after studies at Oberlin, The Royal Danish Academy of Music and Vienna University of Music under Prof. Milan Vitek, Prof. Gerhard Schulz (founder of The Alban Berg Quartet) and Prof. Boris Kuschnir (mentor to e.g. Julian Rachlin and Nikolaj Znaider.) In addition, Mr. Skow has attended summer studies at Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, Bowdoin College in Maine and in New York under Glenn Dicterow and Lisa Kim, Professors at The Juilliard School and Concert Masters at N.Y. Philharmonics. Mr. Skow additionally holds a Master of Law with further studies at
Harvard Law School Executive Education.
PRO BONO:
Mr. Skow has been involved with the AIDS, Pink Tribute, World Scout, Stop Violence Against Women, The Danish Sclerosis Society and the Arts for All Children Foundations protected i.a. by H.M. Queen Margrethe, H.R.H. Princess Marie, H.R.H. Princess Benedicte in collaboration w. H.E. Ambassador of France. As a competition judge, he has served alongside the Malaysian Secretary General of Treasury in the global start up competition of The Global Entrepreneurship Summit.
VIOLINS:
He has e.g. performed on an Amati from 1671, the Vuillaume “ex Grumiaux” and on the legendary “Kreutzer” Stradivarius valued at 15 mio USD.
